Chocolate and bushbabies may seem an unlikely pairing. But new research from Ghana suggests that cocoa farms could have an important role to play in supporting these small, nocturnal primates. The findings support evidence for agroforestry systems as nature-based solutions that can benefit biodiversity and people.

How can action on deforestation strengthen UK food resilience?

Introducing a new research project exploring the link between deforestation and UK food resilience. The UK government’s recent national security assessment highlights the risks of accelerating global ecosystem degradation for UK food security. In collaboration with DEFRA, the project brings together an interdisciplinary team to identify evidence-based policy solutions, funded by the Agile Initiative.

The Nature-based Solutions for Climate Manifesto aims to attract political momentum, highlight the need for funding, and encourage the integration of nature in all aspects of planning and decision making for sustainable development.
