Big sign saying Groundswell
AGRIIH seeks to foster collaboration across disciplines, geographies, and sectors to support more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable agri-food systems.

In June 2025, the Agricultural Resilience Impact and Innovation Hub (AGRIIH) shared its early progress at the British Ecological Society (BES) Symposium Nature, Farming and Food: How we value our land. Dr Jing Zhang and Dr Jen Lucey presented a poster introducing AGRIIH’s aims, cross-disciplinary structure, and emerging areas of interest across the University of Oxford.

Titled “Growing Resilience from the Ground Up: Connecting Actors and Knowledge for Agricultural Innovation”, the poster mapped how Oxford researchers are engaging with agriculture-relevant challenges—ranging from climate change and biodiversity loss to market volatility, supply chain disruptions, and dietary shifts. It also outlined AGRIIH’s commitment to fostering collaboration across disciplines, geographies, and sectors to support more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable agri-food systems.

The AGIIH team at Groundswell Regenerative Agriculture Festival, July 2025

In July, AGRIIH’s banner—kindly hosted by the Agri-Food for Net Zero Network+—was displayed at the Groundswell Regenerative Agriculture Festival. The team engaged with a wide range of stakeholders, including farmers, agri-tech developers, policy professionals, and civil society organisations, deepening dialogue around shared challenges and co-creating pathways toward transformation. Both events helped raise awareness of AGRIIH’s collaborative platform and ongoing convening work in the UK and globally.
