Interests and expertise

I currently work as Communications and Outreach lead, for the University of Oxford Nature-based Solutions Initiative (NbSI) and the social venture Nature-based Insights (NBI).

My role is to maximise the reach and impact of NbS research, through communications and media channels. I am also developing executive education and event programmes for both organisations.

Background

I have an MA (Hons) in Sustainable Development from the University of St. Andrews, through which I undertook fieldwork in Zambia focusing on the impacts of an NGO working in the health sector. My subsequent career took me into corporate communications, with a sustainability focus, and I completed a CIM Diploma in Digital Media and Branding with Cambridge Marketing College.

Prior to moving to Oxford, I worked for the think tank Carbon Tracker as Events and Communications Manager. I am also currently a trustee for Cambridge Re-Use, a local charity who promote social inclusion whilst also providing a platform for redirecting goods from landfill. Previously, I worked in Zambia and Namibia for numerous years, which further inspired my passion for nature and conservation. In addition to gaining first-hand experiences with conservation and anti-poaching on a game reserve, I consulted on operations and communications across wildlife, tourism, entrepreneurship, and community health projects.
