Identification and assessment of best practice in nature-based solutions for climate action and ecosystem restoration in Ireland
February 14, 2025This small-scale study identifies the best practice current and emerging NBS in Ireland, through literature review and consultation with experts in the field, which have exhibited the potential to mitigate climate change and its impacts or enable adaptation to the impacts of climate change. Some of the case studies identified in this review may not have been implemented as NBS, but they tackle specific climate and societal problems while also providing ecosystem services, as well as benefits to human well-being and biodiversity.
