Nature-based solutions can play a central role in sustainable development and achieving the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

NbSI Director, Nathalie Seddon, spoke on the role of nature-based solutions in biodiversity conservation and sustainable development, in a rich discussion with two world-leading scientists. Dr Susan Chomba leads the World Resources Institute’s work on forest landscape restoration, nature-based solutions, sustainable agriculture and rural livelihoods in Africa, and is Director of Vital Landscapes. Sir Robert Watson is an international authority on climate change and biodiversity; he has taken a number of leading roles during his career, including chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.
