Wageningen University & Research nature-based solutions challenge
Winners will design and implement NbS that positively contribute to the climate, biodiversity, and quality of life.

Wageningen University & Research (WUR), is running a worldwide student Nature Based Solutions Challenge, where entrants come up with a nature-based solution proposal to face a panel of experts. The jury will select the teams that receive funding of 2500 euro as well as mentoring to support implementation of the winning project.

The teams of up to 5 students and new graduates will work on a nature-based solution in a local context addressing climate change mitigation, climate change adaptation and biodiversity restoration, along with societal and economic impacts impacts, all improving quality of life.

Wageningen University & Research is running the challenge in partnership with the Youth Networks Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network,  Youth in Landscapes Initiative, Dutch National Youth Council, International Association of students in Agricultural and related Sciences, and the Future For Nature Academy.
