Interests and expertise

I study community ecology as well as human-ecological relationships in tropical regions. I am interested in how to apply this knowledge to support ecosystem integrity and in particular, the fundamental implications this has on societal wellbeing. For these reasons I am happy to be a part of the Nature-Based Solutions Initiative, to contribute towards promoting the use of healthy ecosystems to increase our resilience to anthropogenic changes.

Background

After studying Biology as an undergraduate at McGill University in Canada, I have recently completed my Masters, which specialized in tropical biodiversity and ecosystems at the Free University of Brussels. I have worked on several research projects investigating a range of ecological phenomena in both temperate and tropical environments.
