Nature will play a central role as a lead theme and one of the key six ‘action’ areas in September in New York during Climate Week. To celebrate and endorse nature’s role as a climate solution and its intrinsic value providing a third of the climate solution by 2030, Nature4Climate is hosting four days of powerful programming at the Convene 101Park Avenue and Central Park Zoo from September 22nd to 25th. We at the Nature-based Solutions Initiative are hosting three events as part of this hub (see box above). Many other organizations will also be presenting ideas, challenges and showcasing positive stories of change of the power of nature…

He has asked these leaders to bring bold announcements and actions to the Summit that will reduce emissions, strengthen climate resilience, and mobilize political will for an ambitious and meaningful agreement in Paris in December 2015.
